Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools (CMS) engaged BAISCA to lead an experiential program designed to teach students about environmental issues and energy conservation. Students participated in activities such as poster contests, community outreach and energy competitions — with the end goal of reducing energy consumption in their schools. The use of a web-based “dashboard” system equipped students with the capability of monitoring and tracking energy consumption in real time. BAISCA implemented the EnergyWise program in 18 schools within the CMS district.
