Every five years, N.C. school districts are required to complete the state-mandated Five-Year Facility Needs Survey The survey is typically released in September and due in early January — requiring a tight turnaround for often overburdened facilities departments that may not have the resources or process in place to efficiently complete the project.
BAISCA collaborated with nine North Carolina school districts in 2015 on the Five-Year Facility Needs Survey. The districts included Burke, Caldwell, Davidson, Duplin, Gates, Hoke, Lee, Lenoir and Lincoln counties.
BAISCA met the deadline for this report for each of the counties with which we partnered. Key deliverables included:
- Accurately compiling the required data
- Submitting the deliverables on each district’s behalf
- Providing the information in a user-friendly format that prioritizes upcoming needs with reliable cost estimates and executive summaries
Exceeding client expectations:
“Working with an experienced third party to prepare the Report lends credibility when submitting the results of the study to district leadership and Board members.”
— Doug Setzer, Director of Auxiliary Services, Burke County Schools
